Prem Sagar Foundation started Food for people initiative 15 years ago at remote area of Bantoli, Gumla in Jharkhand. We have a fully equipped day meal facility. Under this We provide fresh nutritious meals for 500 under privileged children on a daily basis in the most hygienic conditions. It has brought the remarkable changes in the village as it has enabled the children to embrace mainstream society through nourishment and motivated them to harness the opportunities available outside. It is evident from their radiant smiles.
Children are performing better at their schools as it has greatly improved the attendance and they have started participating in the other activities. Now they are graduating from colleges. The financial condition of the parents is improved as they have to manage the food for one time only. Also, the theft cases have reduced in the area and thus it addressed a social problem as well.
